Columbia Independent School
Hercon Construction was responsible for the $1.7 million transformation of the 62,000-square-foot Toastmaster building at 1801 North Stadium Boulevard into a new facility for Columbia Independent School. Work began in April and was finished in time for school to start in August. “It was a team effort, says Hercon president Jeff Herigon. "Smart-phone technology allowed information to flow freely among contractors, owner, and design professionals.” The project included state-of-the-art science labs, a 3,000-squre-foot media center, 1,000-square-foot fitness center, and 150-seat cafetorium.
